Casino Royale (2006)

Casino Royale is definitely better than the last 2 or 3 James Bond films. Daniel Craig is believable as Bond. However, I miss Q and I miss the gadgets. Another complaint: what's up with all the blatant product placements? James Bond in a Ford (gasp)?

Great site. I think I liked Casino Royale a little more as I was able to let them get away with the lack of Q and gadgets due to it's prequal stature. It ended up being one of my favorite Bond's and left me wishing more of them would strip down the gadget centered plots of the Brosnan type films.
I think product placement is lame too but it's something we'll have to live with in a lot of movies now thanks to the income it generates. Makes the big budget movies less risky when they can generate some income before a single ticket is sold.
